Keep pets and people from walking through the mess. Wear disposable gloves if available and lift what you can with disposable absorbent material. Work from the outside toward the center. Bag contaminated materials and use a surface-compatible cleaning method. Do not scrub a carpet deposit deeper into the fibers.
Soft furnishings and carpets
Check the care label and test an appropriate pet-mess cleaner on an inconspicuous area. Remove residue before applying a cleaning product. Notice symptoms, not just color
